This only works with WiFi if its 2.5, I have 5.0... the software won't let me select my model, it keeps going to the wrong model. I need a new computer - NOW, its an emergency buy and now I cannot get this software to install. Who designs a printer that doesn't just down load what you need... why do I need another mobile app to manage this?? Taking up space and wasting my time with spam. I will NEVER buy a HP again.

Failed app
This application does not work right at all. Used the app once to set up my printer, which didn't even help me solve my orignal problem with the connection with my laptop and being able to remotely scan, and now the app won't even load for me. Just breaks down and crashes in a nanosacond after opening. Unusuable. Sad.

Just uploaded everything to my Mac with ease. I just got this printer so nothing to share other than everything is going smooth and easy so far.

Useless
This is a useless app. It did absolutely nothing. Wish I could get the last hour of my life back. It's too late for me, but I can still save you. Don't waste your time with this app. I just ended up using the generic driver and added the printer using the IP address.



This document is intended for Mac OS users that opted to install the Smart Print print drivers & pop-up client, and you release most of your print jobs in Charney Hall. If so, you need to install the Supplemental Smart Print HP B&W printer drivers. All Smart Print printers in Charney Hall are the latest HP monochrome models. The rest of the campus will soon follow as each Dell Smart Print is at the end of life (EOL) and replaced. Please note that this Supplemental Smart Print HP B&W printer driver will also allow you to print on all other Smart Print printers on campus.
If you have already installed and configured the standard Smart Print print drivers in the past and Smart Print pop-up client, then your mac printer definition list,
should already include two printer definitions,
SmartPrint_BW_Printer
SmartPrint_Color_Printer
If not, then follow the SmartPrint printer and pop-up client install instructions in the next section first and then install the Supplemental Smart Print HP B&W printer drivers. The end result is having a new printer definition for HP monochrome Smart Print printers.


Hp Smart App Required For SetupSTEP 1 - If you have already installed the Smart Print printer for Mac OS, then skip to STEP 2 and install the Supplemental HP B&W printer driver. Otherwise, you will need to continue with the Smart Print printer driver and pop-up client install below.
Prerequisite - It helps to be on campus to install and test Smart Print printer drivers with the pop up client because you need to be connected to SCU WiFi (SCU_Student) to use SCU network resources.

Download Hp Smart For MacbookSTEP 2 - Let's set up and configure your supplemental Smart Print HP B&W printer drivers.
Prerequisite - It helps to be on campus to install and test Smart Print printer drivers with the pop up client because you need to be connected to SCU WiFi (SCU_Student) to use SCU network resources.
Download the install DMG file for supplemental HP B&W printer driver here.
Open the DMG file for supplemental HP B&W printer driver and run then .PKG file.

After you have finished installing the Supplemental Smart Print HP B&W printer driver, you need to enable the duplex feature by going to upper left corner ... Apple | System Preferences | Printers & Scanners | Options & Supplies
Select the Options tab and check the box next to Duplexer. Click OK. 
Now that you new Smart Print HP B&W printer driver (SmartPrint_HP_BW_Printer) is installed, you can select the SmartPrint_BW_Printer definition in our list and delete it ( - ; minus button). You should now only have two Smart Print printer definitions,

SmartPrint_Color_Printer
* The two printer definitions above can now print to any HP or DELL Smart Print printer. Just use the correct one and release the job at the appropriate printer.
